We are pleased to announce Michael Roethler’s promotion to the position of Corporate Director of Safety Services, effective immediately. In this new role, Michael will provide oversight, support, training, and assistance on risk mitigation and safety to local operations within the Priority Ambulance family of companies. He will report to COO Steve Blackburn.
Michael’s responsibilities will include leading and conducting accident investigations involving company vehicles, patient injuries, employee injuries, and other safety-related incidents in coordination with the Corporate General Counsel, Corporate Director of Fleet Services, Regional Presidents, and local operations. He will develop and report on critical risk and safety metrics to corporate and local operations management staff to identify potential safety risks. Additionally, he will be responsible for OSHA reporting and act as a liaison to state and federal OSHA, along with the Corporate Chief Compliance Officer.
Michael brings a wealth of experience to this position. He currently serves as the Regional Director of Training for Priority Ambulance and has previously served as a paramedic and Director of Training for Seals Ambulance. His extensive background includes serving as a firefighter/paramedic and Engineer with the Indianapolis Fire Department and as the Chief Operating Officer for Ongay Safety Group. Michael is an American Heart Association-certified ACLS, BLS, and PALS instructor and is certified by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security Fire Division as a Fire Officer III, Safety Officer, and Instructor III.
